Domestic Violence

This petition is filed under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 seeking urgent protection from continuous acts of cruelty perpetrated by the respondent. The petitioner submits that she has been subjected to persistent physical assault, verbal abuse, emotional humiliation, and financial deprivation within the matrimonial home. The respondent’s aggressive behavior, constant threats, and controlling attitude have caused severe mental trauma and fear for her safety. Despite repeated efforts to maintain peace and harmony, the respondent’s conduct only worsened, leaving the petitioner with no secure environment to live in. She has been denied basic necessities, financial support, and dignity, which clearly fall within the definition of domestic violence under Section 3 of the Act. The petitioner now requires immediate intervention to ensure her safety and well-being. Therefore, she respectfully prays that this Hon’ble Court issue protection orders, provide residence and monetary reliefs, prohibit the respondent from committing further violence, and secure her rights under the law.
